Are you interested in accessing ICT intellectual property (IP) owned by the Queensland Government to assist your business in….
Then the ICT Commercialisation Program can assist you in becoming a commercialisation partner with Queensland Government agencies. Such relationships, through the acquisition or licensing of ICT IP, will provide you with the commercial rights to exploit market-ready, or near-market-ready ICT products.
The Queensland Government creates a significant volume of ICT related Intellectual Property (IP) through its ICT procurement or internal development activities.
As ICT IP becomes available, these opportunities will be promoted to industry by the Information Industries Bureau (IIB). Additionally, a range of services will be provided by the IIB to help facilitate the creation of relationships between agencies and ICT firms.
Who would benefit from the ICT Commercialisation Program?
The types of organisations who will benefit from participating in the program include:
The Office of ICT Commercialisation
The Government Innovation Services (formerly known as the Office of ICT Commercialisation (OICTC)) is now the commercialisation service hub for the Information and Communications Technologies (ICT) sector.
The project management of commercialisation opportunities on behalf of Queensland Government Agencies is undertaken by the Australian Institute for Commercialisation (AIC) which has established the Government Innovation Services for this purpose. The AIC is a Queensland Government owned enterprise which is dedicated to enhancing Australia’s ability to commercialise intellectual property.
