The Information Industries Bureau (IIB) works with Queensland’s small and medium-sized information and communication technology (ICT) businesses to help them grow and develop.
The IIB is part of the Queensland Department of Tourism, Regional Development and Industry (DTRDI) and was established by the State Government in 1992 to facilitate the development of an internationally competitive ICT sector in Queensland.
In keeping with the Government’s Smart State vision, the IIB fosters the growth and development of the Queensland ICT industry through a diverse range of programs.
The IIB assists Queensland ICT companies with export, venture capital and business growth issues through both one-on-one business advice and education programs. Providing one of Queensland’s leading ICT research services, the IIB is assisting small to medium ICT companies to make effective business decisions.
The Queensland Government through the IIB is committed to enhancing the capability of the Queensland ICT industry to generate greater economic prosperity through growth in local and export markets, and employment.
